接着百度文库的版权之势，盛大文学对盗版其小说网站进行了大力打击。盛大这次打击的力度和范围是有史以来最大、最广的。
据起点网公布的《起点全力打击盗版：小说520不会是个案！》一文中所说：
近期，在上级主管部门的关怀和起点全力配合下，公安机关果断出击，成功捣毁了为作家和广大原创从业者所痛恨的“小说520”等一系列盗版网站的操作者“武汉久趣网络公司”，一举抓获包括其负责人金某某在内的 8名犯罪嫌疑人。
目前，全部8名犯罪嫌疑人均已被刑事拘留，进入司法程序，其所经营运作的包括“小说520”在内的10家盗版网站均已关停。
盗版小说网的运营
像很多站长一样，盗版小说网站的站长们大多也是采用站群的形式，以获取更多盈利。一个盗版小说网站一两个人就能维护更新，而且他们只需要更新一个网站，剩下的网站统一到第一个网站采集即可。这次被关的星空中文（www.xkzw.com）和斗罗小说网(www.86696.com)就是以这种形式经营的。
盗版小说网的成本及盈利
盗版小说维护成本比较低，只需一到两个人即可维护。主要成本是服务器，一年几千元。
其盈利模式是广告，主要是弹窗广告。一个盗版小说网站弹出广告和展示点击等广告收入大概是5——8元/千ip。如果一个盗版小说日ip10万的话，那么其日收入是500——800元。如果做站群的有几个盗版小说站收入将是每个站的累加。
盗版小说网主要流量来源
盗版小说网站流量95%是来自搜索引擎，尤其是百度。可以这么说百度是盗版网站的摇篮，如果要从根本解决盗版问题，必须从百度这个根源入手。而只在关掉一些盗版网站，都不能最终解决问题。
就如这次关掉了小说520，马上就出现了一个小说5200。这就是最好的实例，也是最大的讽刺。
这次主要打击那些网站？
这次主要打击当前比较大的几个盗版小说网，他们是：
小说520、文学迷、星空中文、斗罗小说网、22中文网等。但是像快眼看书（www.booksky.org）这种盗版巨头为什么没被打击。
影响
百度文库版权纠纷和盛大打击盗版，说明了在中国文学著作版权将慢慢得到法律实质性的保护。以前“避风港”以及“通知与移除”规则，在以后将不可行。它让那些做盗版文学网站的站长们知道，他们在盗版网站底下挂上诸如一下这些内容将是无效的，他们将随时会被送进监狱。
