淘客推广是一种按成交计费的推广模式,淘客只要从淘客推广专区获取商品代码，任何买家（包括您自己）经过您的推广 (链接,个人网站,博客或者社区发的帖子)进入淘宝卖家店铺完成购买后,就可得到由卖家支付的佣金。
在网购中有这么一群人，他们专门到各大门户论坛、qq群发布商品推广链接以赚取提成。在淘宝的很多网店，店主为了提高人气，吸引更多的客户，他们都加入商品推广中，有的商品的提成高达50%。
而在一些B2C网店里，商家不仅大打广告推广，还和广告联盟合作CPA广告以让网站主获得提成。同时很多商家都有自己的联盟，像当当网：图书、音像类产品 提成4%；家电、手机通讯、电脑产品、数码、母婴类产品2%；厨卫用品类产品3%；除图书、音像类产品；家电、手机通讯、电脑产品、数码、母婴类产品，厨卫用品类产品的其他产品7%。而著名的服饰凡客VANCL的提成则高达16%。
本来这些提成都是商家的营销费用，而营销人员则是各大小网站或个人，现在有了这么个组织，他们把商家的提成返还给客户，把客户吸引到自己的网站来。典型的有 返还网、网易返现（即有道商品搜索）他们的赢利有这么几点：
1、作为一个运营商，他们能获得商品团购价或批发价，从中赚取差价。
2、作为一家互联网，他们能赚取所有互联网能盈利的模式，比如广告等。
