之前Google和有道搜索引擎是支持nofollow的，而百度和雅虎则是不支持。昨天百度称百度现在支持nofollow标签，带nofollow标签的链接，将会忽略掉它绝大部分的作用。
nofollow主要用在用户留言等不受站长控制的地方，这些地方的投票不是站长的意志，告诉搜索引擎不要给他投票是合适的。加上nofollow，被链接的页面不仅不被计入外链接，同时也不被计入google PR值，这样用户的留言，除了偶尔带去一个IP，没有任何作用。
当然现在很多人留言为了是人气儿不是seo，比如卢松松就是一个很典型的例子。
