一、空间类型介绍
网站空间主要有以下三种选择：
1、 虚拟主机——多个网站用户分享同一台服务器资源。每一个虚拟主机都具有独立的域名和完整的Internet服务器（支持WWW、FTP、E-mail等）功能。
2、 VPS主机——多个用户分享一台服务器，但是每个用户都有根权限有独立的资源划分。
每个VPS的运行和管理都与一台独立主机完全相同，都可分配独立公网IP地址、独立操作系统、独立超大空间、独立内存、独立CPU资源、独立执行程序和独立系统配置等。 用户除了可以分配多个虚拟主机及无限企业邮箱外，更具有独立服务器功能，可自行安装程序，单独重启服务器，总而言之，VPS是一项具备高弹性、高质量及低成本效益的服务器解决方案，是高端虚拟主机用户的最佳选择。
3、 独立服务器——一台服务器只有一个用户，资源独享，也就是整台物理机有你一人使用。
独立服务器又分服务器租用和服务器托管。
服务器租用是IDC提供服务器，有他们安装配置，并放置在他们的机房，租用人完全拥有整台服务器的使用权，服务器的硬件属于服务商，服务器上的数据属于你。在国内一般租用两年就能送产权（即服务器的硬件也属于你了，如果你不再租用可以让服务商把服务器寄给你。）
服务器托管指的是，把自己的设备放在服务提供商的数据中心，并使用服务器提供商提供的宽带。
二、选择适合自己的服务器空间类型
空间类型的选择，原则上要充分满足网站的运行，但绝不浪费。在购买服务器空间前，先要明确一下几点：
1、 你需要多少带宽？一般来说，一天几百个访客的网站，一个月所需都在1-2GB一下，当然下载和视频类的网站除外，这里你可以自己计算一下，你网站一个网页有多大？访问人数多少，就能算出来了。够用就可以没必要过多，建议是最大日访问量*31天*1.2，差不多就等于你一个月需呀的带宽。
2、 你需要多少空间？对于个人博客，几百兆的空间就够了。如果没有大量的附件，就存网页（文字加少量图片），我认为500M—1G左右够你用了，起码再租用一年期内够你用了。不要花冤枉钱购买了空间闲置在那。
3、 你空间程序需要哪些功能？世上没有免费的晚餐，每种功能都是你花钱买的，所以不要花钱购买你不用的功能，更不要在买了一大堆你用不着的功能的同时，却没有购买你需要的功能。
比如绝大多数空间都提供数据库功能，在选择时要选用你需要的数据库。还有是否支持ASP、CGI、SSI、PHP？是否有企业邮箱？文件传输方式？是否支持rewrite？是否能自己编辑.htaccess?是否日志和流量统计功能……
根据上面3条准则，给自己量身订做一个服务器空间，现在绝大多数IDC都有免费试用期，多找几家使用，多测试、多比较，将会发现很多你所没能预料的，而这些对你绝对是有帮助的。

Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
