淘宝网之前内测的搜索引擎于今天下午正式上线公测。网址为search.taobao.com ,下午我第一时间进入试用了一下，目前整体比较简单，没能看出有什么内涵，就是把原来淘宝网的搜索提取出来单独放在一个页面上，我想之前做过阿里妈妈推广的都有做过这样的页面。
我拿它与原来淘宝网上的搜索做了对比，结果如下：
同样搜“牛仔裤”，原淘宝网搜出宝贝2323884件，搜索结果默认“所有宝贝”，当然排在前面两天数据是淘宝商城的，跟百度推广没两样。如下图（1）

新的淘宝搜索上搜出宝贝数2325117，抛开数据库及索引更新的因素，大致差不多，也就说所谓的搜索引擎还是局限于淘宝网自身的商品。页面默认是按“人气”排列的，与原来的页面想比两者除了个别列项不一样，其他几乎是一样的，不过新的搜索结果没有“淘宝商城”，让人感觉公平点，但我认为这肯定是暂时的，现在没有最主要是还没有对应的客户。如下图（2）

对此，阿里巴巴集团副总裁、淘宝副总裁路鹏表示，目前该搜索引擎提供的搜索结果依然基于淘宝数据，但将来并不局限于商品搜索，会逐渐向全网的搜索引擎范围拓展，同时为淘宝和合作伙伴提供相关服务（盈利目标明确）。
去年9月淘宝正式宣布屏蔽百度搜索，网易有道以及谷歌也分别推出购物搜索。此次推出独立搜索引擎是是淘宝屏蔽百度搜索后的重要举措之一，业内人士认为淘宝将通过此举进一步巩固市场地位。
路鹏指出淘宝搜索主要针对半结构化和结构化的数据，而传统的网页搜索则多是非结构化数据。不过路鹏暗示淘宝独立搜索有意扩大搜索的范围，他指出淘宝独立搜索将不会局限于商品的搜索，未来还将涵盖社区、资讯等等多方面的信息内容。
