世界上最知名的微博网就是Twitter了，美国总统奥巴马、美国白宫、FBI、Google、HTC、DELL、福布斯、通用汽车等很多国际知名个人和组织在twitter上进行营销和与用户交互。尽管在中国一直无法直接访问，但仍挡不住其在中国的发展，大家不亦乐乎地翻墙访问Twitter。
微博的作用和效应就不用多说，大家都知道，而且也都认识到这一点，这次海底地震，Twitter所表现出来的消息传递能力和用户交换程度，是其它任何通讯工具所无法比拟的。当然也正因为如此，Twitter才无法在中国直接访问，管理不到位中国政府是不会让它存在的，尤其是去年出了饭否被关闭这件事，更坚定了政府屏蔽Twitter的决心。
腾讯尽管比较早就推出了滔滔，但一直没当回事，直到sina微博的流行，一种创新交互方式的出现，几乎表现得都有可能取代传统的IM时，腾讯显然坐不住了，关掉滔滔，重新筹划，花大量人力物力去打造自己的微博，据说是t.qq.com，还在腾讯内部测试使用。那么我们来看一下中国的十大微博网站：

Why are there so many YDI’s? You guys don’t know the story behind why he put his son up for adoption. Maybe he was young, and he and the mother couldn’t support the baby. Maybe the mom ditched the dad. She isn’t in the FML. Don’t jump to conclusions.
